Two People Found Dead Inside Home Near Howard University

District of Columbia police are investigating a fatal double shooting near Howard University.

Police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump says a man and a woman were found shot to death late Monday night inside a home in the 700 block of Girard Street Northwest.

Police are calling the shooting a double homicide but did not identify either person. No one was in custody as of Tuesday morning.

No additional information was immediately released.
