At D.C. Hospital, Twins Born Minutes — And Years — Apart

A girl, Lorraine Yaleni Begazo, was born at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday. Her brother, Brandon Ferdinando Begazo, arrived at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.

MedStar Washington Hospital Center says a woman gave birth to twins near midnight on New Year's, with one born in 2013 and the other born in 2014.

A hospital spokeswoman says the twins were born to Yaleni Tohalino and Warren Begazo of Silver Spring, Md. A girl, Lorraine Yaleni Begazo, was born at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday. Her brother, Brandon Ferdinando Begazo, arrived at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.

The spokeswoman says Lorraine weighed 6 pounds, .49 ounces, and Brandon weighed 5 found, 10.4 ounces.
