Arlington County Board Shakes Off 2013 With New Year's Day Meeting

The Arlington County Board is wasting no time in getting to work in 2014.

The County Board on Wednesday continues its annual tradition of meeting on New Year's Day. The board expects to elect Jay Fisette as its chairman at Wednesday's meeting. Fisette has previously served as board chairman in 2001, 2005 and 2010.

Fisette is expected to outline his goals for the year, as will other board members.

The board is also expected to elect Mary Hynes as its vice chair.
