An Amtrak train derailed south of Baltimore Monday evening, setting up a long evening for commuters on both Amtrak and MARC lines.

Paul Shepard of the Maryland Transit Administration says that all northbound rail traffic on MARC has been halted while they deal with the derailed train.

Officials are currently rounding up buses to assist passengers stranded on stopped trains.

Metro is honoring MARC tickets. Light Rail is honoring MARC tickets from BWI, according to the MTA.
