The giant panda cub now weighs 9.68 pounds and measures 18.11 inches.

Vets at the National Zoo say the cub weighed in this week at a little more than 9 pounds and its nose is starting to lose its pink color and turn black like an adult panda.

The panda cub was born Aug. 23 and is only the second surviving panda cub born at the zoo. The cub is expected to make her public debut in early 2014.

The zoo is currently letting the public vote on her name. The winning name will be revealed Dec. 1.
