The Washington Redskins play their third pre-season game this evening against the Buffalo Bills at FedEx Field.

The Redskins star quarterback, Robert Griffin III, is being held out of the pre-season as he rehabs from major knee surgery after suffering a gruesome injury during last year's NFL playoffs.

Though he hasn't been on the field yet, he's still done enough to get himself fined by the NFL. While he isn't playing, he has been on the sideline during the team's first two exhibition games. During warm-ups for Monday's game against the Steelers, RGIII wore a shirt that said "Operation Patience," a nod to his pre-season inactivity.

The NFL fined him $10,000 for wearing the shirt, because it was "unauthorized apparel." All gear worn on game days must be approved by the league. As for today's game, the Redskins other "RG" — Rex Grossman — is expected to get the bulk of playing time at quarterback.
