Jul. 5-7: Perfect Arrangement

It's 1950 and two State Department employees are tasked with uncovering suspected homosexuals, but what their employers don't realize is that Norma and Bob are hunting for themselves, and their image as happily-married, straight individuals...is a lie. Playwright Topher Payne says Perfect Arrangement is like "the raciest episode of I Love Lucy you've ever seen." "The absurdity of it really lends itself well to screwball comedy." You can see the show this Friday through Sunday at Source in D.C.

Jul. 5-7: AFI Silver Civil War Anniversary Presentations

The AFI Silver Theater in Silver Spring commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with two films by director Ronald F. Maxwell. You can watch a screening of Gettysburg at 2 p.m. tomorrow or at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Then, at 7:15 tomorrow night you can see a screening of Copperhead, the final piece in Maxwell's Civil War film trilogy.
