Metro Police To Put On Show-Of-Force In Stations On Friday

Metro riders may notice more police officers patrolling stations during their evening commute on Friday.

More than 50 officers from multiple agencies are banding together for Blue TIDE (Terrorism Identification and Deterrence Effort), a show-of-force effort aimed at stopping crime and potential terrorist activity.

As part of the effort, police will do a number of security sweeps at Metro stations. They'll also distribute crime prevention information at stations.
