Woman In Sterling Costco Shot Dead After Acting Erratically

Officials say a Loudoun County sheriff's deputy shot and killed a woman inside of a Sterling, Va. Costco Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting was reported at the Costco Warehouse Store, located at 21398 Price Cascades Plaza in Loudoun County, at approximately 3 p.m.

According to police, a woman handing out pizza samples was acting erratically, waving a knife and scissors at customers and employees. After police were called to the scene, they confronted the woman, using a stun gun to try and subdue her. When that did not work, she was fatally shot.
