A Prince George's County woman in her 60s was found dead after a fire broke out inside a cluttered home in Cheverly, Md.
The woman was found on the second floor near the stairs around 8 a.m Sunday and was the only person in the house at the time of the fire. Officials say the house did not have a working smoke detector.
Prince George's County fire officials told The Washington Post that hoarded materials in the house may have contributed to the fire and made it difficult for firefighters to enter the residence.
Before Sunday, there had already been 10 deaths from fires in Prince George's County this year. There were 10 such deaths in the county in all of 2012.
