Metro's new Silver Line is scheduled to open later this year, and the transit agency is hosting several open houses to discuss changes in service with the new line.

The first open house is scheduled for Tuesday evening in Capitol Heights, Md., at Faith Temple Baptist Church. On Thursday evening, an open house will be held in Reston, Va., at the Reston Community Center Hunters Woods. And on Saturday, March 16, a third session will be held at Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in Arlington from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle Avenue in Reston, Va., to Largo Town Center in Maryland. The first phase is expected to open in December.
