A man is dead after accidentally shooting himself at a range in Waldorf, Md.

One man is dead after his gun accidentally discharged at a shooting range In Waldorf, Md.

The accident took place this weekend at the St. Charles Sportsman's Club, where the sheriff's deputies say they found Patrick Allen Richards, 61, of Hughesville suffering from a gunshot wound.

Richards' gun apparently discharged unexpectedly, striking him once in the upper body. Richards died at the scene.

Investigators say there are no signs of foul play, and the shooting is being investigated as an accident.
