Major Delays On Beltway After Accident

An accident involving a fire truck, a tractor trailer and an SUV on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway is causing major delays on the east side of the highway near the U.S. Route 50 interchange this morning. 

Seven people, including four Prince George's County firefighters, have been taken to the hosptial, according to WTOP. One of the firefighters is in critical condition, according to NBC Washington

Another crash on the Baltimore Washington Parkway inside the Beltway is leading to other backups in the area; southbound B-W Parkway is closed at the Route 410 interchange, according to WAMU 88.5 traffic reporter Jerry Edwards; as of 7 a.m., the backup stretched for 4 miles.
