Grief counselors were on hand Tuesday at a Prince George's County high school following the weekend death of a Fort Washington teen.

Sixteen-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones was leaving a house party in the 7700 block of Webster Lane late Saturday when he was shot and killed by an attacker who remains unknown.

Saturday's shooting is the fourth murder of a Prince George's county teen within the  current school year. At least two of the murders remain unsolved, including the August killing of 17-year old Amber Stanley who was shot and killed in her bedroom by someone who burst into her home, and the murder of 18-year old Markel Ross who was shot while walking to school in September.

The suspect in each case remains unknown, and at large.

Prince George's county police spokesperson Cpl. Maria McKinney describes what happen Saturday.

"The preliminary investigation shows that as Jones was was walking to a car after leaving a home on Webster Lane, an unknown suspect shot him and ran away," McKinney says.

Tension was high at Friendly High school today where Jones, known as Spike to his friends, was a junior.

"Everybody wants to know who murdered our friend Spike," says Anthony Dudley, a senior at Friendly High.

Dudley says counselors can help ease some of the anxiety at school, but few can control what happens in the streets.

"I'm terribly afraid; afraid of just walking around my way, cause once I got robbed at gunpoint," Dudley says. "That could have been me, but sadly it was Spike. There is a big concern about guns and murders around here, but it just gotta stop."

Prince George's County police have scheduled a community meeting Wednesday to address questions about their investigation into Jones murder.
