Obama's Presidential Limo Has New Tags

Washington, D.C.'s license plate design depicts the slogan, "Taxation Without Representation."

Recently, officials at White House say the president agreed to replace the plates on his limousine so that they display the "Taxation Without Representation" design used in the District.

On Saturday, the lead vehicle of the president's motorcade was seen sporting the plate with the number "800 002."

The numbers are issued by D.C. Council Chair Phil Mendelsohn who traveled to the White House last week to present the plates to Obama after the full council passed a resolution urging the White House to use the ID.

The District plate design, created in 2000, calls attention to the fact the city has no voting member In Congress. President Bill Clinton also put the tags on his limousine, but his successors had declined to do the same.
