Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler says he has $5.2 million in his campaign account.
The attorney general, who is weighing a bid for governor in 2014, reported the amount to the Maryland State Board of Elections on Tuesday.
His campaign says it's five times more than Gov. Martin O'Malley had eight years ago as he was preparing to run for his first term.
The report says Gansler has raised $1.2 million since last year's filing.
Gansler also served as State's Attorney for Montgomery County, Maryland, from 1999 to 2007.
