The fifth annual Military Bowl is set for later this week. The RFK Stadium box office will be open tomorrow and Thursday for ticket sales.

San Jose State's football team will take on Bowling Green State University in the bowl game Thursday. But Spokesman Josh Barr says the game is about more than touchdowns and field goals.

Organizers will donate at least $100,000 to the USO, and will distribute 5,000 complimentary game tickets to military families.

"We think it's really important that people take a moment and recognize what these people do," says Barr.

The event is intended to help support military families.

The group is also sponsoring free exhibits Thursday at the nearby D.C. Armory, including a search and rescue boat and a K-9 demonstration. There will also be a flyover during the game, with a parachute team delivering the game ball.
