Redskins-Cowboys Game Moved To Sunday Night

The Washington Redskins-Dallas Cowboys game next Sunday is poised to be one of the biggest in the storied rivalry's history. And it's been given a time slot befitting its significance.

Kickoff for the Dec. 30 matchup at FedEx Field has been moved to 8:20 p.m. so the game can be broadcast nationally on NBC during prime time.

If the Redskins win, the team would take the NFC East division title and host their first playoff game since the 1999 season.

The team can still make the playoffs if they lose, but the scenario is quite complicated and involves multiple other teams losing.

The Redskins defeated the Cowboys 38-31 in their first showdown on Thanksgiving.

To accommodate sports fans, Metro will stay open one hour later Sunday. The last blue line train to Franconia-Springfield from the Morgan Boulevard Station will leave at 12:25 a.m. The last blue line train to Largo Town Center will depart at 1:33 a.m.
