Police in Alexandria, Va., say two marked police cars were stolen off the streets on two consecutive nights, and detectives are trying to determine if the thefts are related.
The first cruiser was stolen between Thursday night and Friday morning. Police say it was parked and locked at the time. It was found in Prince George's County, Md., but a laptop computer and a shotgun were missing, according to the Associated Press.
The second cruiser was taken either Friday night or Saturday morning, about 3 miles east of where the first theft occurred. It was found in Northeast Washington, and police say nothing was stolen from the car.
