Perry Hall Students To Paint Love Mural In Wake Of Shooting

Maryland students who witnessed a shooting on the first day of classes at their Baltimore County school this year will create a mural to help with the healing process, according to the Associated Press.

The mural, which will be in the cafeteria of Perry Hall High School — where the shooting occurred in August — will be an extension of the Baltimore Love Project, which has 15 murals around the city. Each shows the word "Love" with the letters formed by a silhouette of a hand.

Police arrested one Perry Hall student and accused him of shooting another student. The victim was critically wounded but recently returned to school.

The victim and the other students in his lunch period will install their "Love" message next month, which will have a unique design, a spokesman for the Love Project tells AP.
