Two turkeys raised in Virginia are coming to Washington for an annual Thanksgiving tradition.
The turkeys, from Rockingham County, are headed to the White House for the traditional Presidential pardon. They're traveling in style, with a motorcade and will spend the two nights before Wednesday's ceremony at the W Hotel.
Two birds are being sent just in case of any problems on the journey, only one will be pardoned by President Obama on Wednesday, but both birds will get a reprieve, as they'll spend their retirement at Mount Vernon.
The birds were raised by Craig and Nancy Miller at their farm just outside Harrisonburg, Va. The Miller family does plan to be in Washington for the ceremony.
