D.C. Police Investigate Woman's Death At Police Station

D.C. police are investigating the death of a woman at their 3rd District station in Northwest.

Police say Ukalie Boyd injured herself Friday night in a cell at the 3rd District station, which is located near the U Street corridor. She was transported to George Washington University hospital where she later died.

The 42-year-old woman was charged with assault and drug possession. A police spokesman says internal affairs is investigating the death, and an autopsy is pending.
