Metro will be taking advantage of the long Veterans' Day weekend to do scheduled track work on the Orange, Red and Green Lines.
The work begins at 10 p.m. Friday night and will continue through the weekend and all day Monday.
On the Orange Line, buses will replace trains between East Falls Church and Clarendon. Metro says it could take anyone going through that work zone up to 45 minutes longer than usual. Orange Line trains will also share a single track between East Falls Church and Vienna due to work on the Dulles extension.
Red Line trains, meanwhile, will share a track between Grosvenor and Friendship Heights, and Green Line trains will single track between Greenbelt and College Park. Passengers could experience 10 minute delays in those areas.
And due to the observed holiday on Monday, all lines will operate on a Saturday schedule.
Service should return to normal Tuesday morning.
