Obama, Romney Campaigns Rally In Virginia Last Time Before Election Day

Virginia is expected to be decisive in deciding this year's presidential contest, which is why both campaigns have ramped up their footprint in the state leading up to Election Day.

It's no coincidence both presidential campaigns held large rallies in Virginia on the eve of this year's election. Both campaigns are trying to rev up their base in order to drive voter turnout today. While crisscrossing swing states on Monday, Romney tried to reinforce his economic message by attacking President Obama.

"He cared more about a liberal agenda than about repairing the economy," says Romney. "Did Obamacare create new jobs?"

Vice President Joe Biden was also in Virginia Monday, and he too chose to focus on the economy. But his account of the administration's record differs starkly from Romney's.

"We've created 5.4 million new jobs, companies have hired more workers in October than any time in the last eight months, housing starts are up from levels higher than any time since July of 2008, exports are up 41 percent, there's 500,000 new manufacturing jobs," rattles off Biden.

All year long, the presidential contest in the Commonwealth has been neck-and-neck, and different analysts are predicting different outcomes. With 13 Electoral College votes up for grabs, the outcome of the contest here is something that's sure to have people talking this evening and tomorrow morning.
