The Washington Redskins received a $20,000 from the National Football League for violating league procedures on reporting injuries.
The violation involved Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. Specifically, the fine was for not properly updating media on Griffin's status during the Oct. 7 game against Atlanta after he left with a head injury that turned out to be a mild concussion.
Coach Mike Shanahan had described Griffin as being "shaken up."
Also fined were the Buffalo Bills, after the team failed to list defensive end Mario Williams as injured when he suffered a sprained left wrist.
