The National Guard Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C will close Monday to begin renovations on a new gallery detailing the guard's service since the 9/11 attacks, reports the Associated Press.

The museum will reopen on Nov. 1, and in addition to the gallery, the exhibit will also include a memorial wall displaying the names of guardsmen who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The museum says its new 9/11 Era Gallery will tell the story of the National Guard's transition from being a strategic reserve to an operational force over the past decade. Artifacts will include pieces from the World Trade Center, uniforms from soldiers, and items from domestic missions as well.
