Three students at Ballou High School in Southeast D.C. are being transported to Children's National Medical Center with stomach pains and nausea. According to D.C. Fire and EMS, the cause may be bad apples.
Several others are reported sickened, and more students are expected to be transported, according to their official Twitter feed.
Officals say they don't know if the apples were from the cafeteria or an outside source.
Hazmat is monitoring air quality to rule out other hazards.
