Organization Help Veterans Access College

Veterans College Bound, an organization that aims to help U.S. Military service members get into college and graduate school, is helping some veterans with their applications.

The organization's founders, Leo and Jennifer Hoar, who are siblings, say they started Veterans College Bound because they believe helping vets transition back into civilian life is important to the community.

"We want to fill the gap that we perceived in this important process of applying to school," says Jennifer.

In addition to helping with the planning process and application process, the organization also offers an mentorship program, which pairs veterans up with mentors who are familiar with the kinds of academic programs that interest them.
