Tourism in Arlington Va. generated close to $2.7 billion last year, an increase of nearly 8 percent over 2010 levels.
More than 23,000 people have jobs in the county in tourism, and tourism in Arlington generated almost $74 million in local tax receipts that fund services for residents and businesses.
Overall, tourism in Virginia generated $20 billion in revenue, an 8 percent increase.
