The annual Labor Day concert on the West Lawn of the Capitol has been moved the Kennedy Center, U.S. Capitol Police say. The National Symphony Orchestra concert begins at 8 p.m. and is free to the public. Doors to the Kennedy Center will open at 7:30 p.m.

The symphony will perform patriotic classics as well as highlights from Stephen Flaherty's "American River Suite" and "Casey at the Bat" with narration by actor Michael John Casey.

The closest Metro station to the event is Foggy Bottom. A planned open rehearsal earlier in the day will no longer be open to the public, NBC Washington reports.
