Weekend track work will slow the ride across the Metro system.

There will be extensive track work this weekend on Metrorail, with two stations closed on the Red Line.

The Medical Center and Bethesda stations will be closed this weekend, with shuttle bus service available to take riders between Friendship Heights and Grosvenor. Customers should get used to this, as both stations will be closed for two other weekends this summer. Riders on the Red Line should add 30 minutes to their expected travel time.

On the Yellow Line, trains will only run between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square. And there will be single tracking at certain points on the Green, Orange, and Blue Lines.  Delays should run about 15-20 minutes on those lines.
