House Speaker Michael Busch says a meeting with Gov. Martin O'Malley and the Senate president resulted in "no conclusion'' on a consensus on whether to call lawmakers back to Annapolis to expand gambling in Maryland.
Busch spoke very briefly to reporters after meeting with O'Malley and Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller on Tuesday morning for about an hour at the governor's residence.
The speaker had little to say, except that the three ``tried to make an assessment about where people were during the middle of summer.''
Miller, who supports expanding gambling to include table games and a casino in Prince George's County, says "some elbow grease'' will be needed to make a special session happen.
