Police in Ocean City are urging visitors to be cautious after two pedestrians were struck and killed while crossing Coastal Highway this season.

A police department spokesperson says Ocean City visitors tend to be in a hurry to cross that busy road on their way to beach.

Last May, a 22-year-old man was killed while trying to cross Coastal Highway. This week, a 15-year-old girl from Allegany County died after being struck by a car while trying to cross the road against a "no walk" sign.

Authorities are urging visitors to only cross the highway at crosswalks, and to keep a close eye on drivers.
