Capital Bikeshare Expands To Ballston

Capital Bikeshare is opening a new station in Ballston.

Capital Bikeshare is expanding to Ballston Monday. The new station, located on N. Stuart Street at 9th Street, in front of Welburn Square, will have 19 docks.

Workers will install the new facility at noon, and a ribbon cutting ceremony will follow.

Tina Leone, executive director of the Ballston Business Improvement District, says the new Bikeshare operation is a great asset for the Rosslyn-Ballston area.

Capital Bikeshare stations are popping up quickly throughout Arlington, particularly along the Orange and Blue Line corridors. Last week, stations were installed along Key Boulevard at N. Veitch Street in Courthouse, and N. Quinn Street in Rosslyn.
