Prince George's County fire crews were called to the KFC restaurant at Martin Luther King Jr. Highway at the intersection of Sheriff Road around 6:30 p.m., as a freak accident in Landover last night left one person dead.

Investigators say a vehicle left the road, and crashed through the large plate glass window that fronts the building.

One person inside the restaurant was struck and killed. Four others suffered minor injuries.

Police are working to figure out just what happened.
