Montgomery County Council members are expected to give an update on the Silver Spring Transit Center's delayed opening Monday morning.
The center was supposed to open last year, but because of construction errors and delays, it's not expected to open until this summer at the earliest.
In a rare scheduled closed session, council members will discuss possible legal action regarding the delay of the center's opening. The center, now named for former Maryland Sen. Paul Sarbanes, will feature direct access to Metrorail and MARC trains, as well as bays for Metrobus, Ride-On, MTA, and University of Maryland shuttle buses.
