Brittany Norwood arrives in court during her trial in October.

Brittany Norwood, the woman convicted of killing a coworker at an upscale yoga clothing shop in Bethesda, will learn today how much time she'll spend behind bars.

Norwood is scheduled to be sentenced this afternoon at Montgomery County Circuit Court. She was convicted of first degree murder two months ago in the March 2011 slaying of Jayna Murray inside the Lululemon athletic clothing shop in Bethesda.

Prosecutors say Norwood fatally bludgeoned and stabbed Murray hundreds of times inside the shop and then doctored the shop to make it look like the women had been attacked by someone else. Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of life without parole for Norwood, but her lawyers say she deserves a chance at rehabilitation.

Norwood will have an opportunity to address the court as well as Murray's family.
