A dog who went missing more than four years ago is now back home with his family. Someone found a dog wandering in Severna Park, Md. Dec. 27 and brought him to the Anne Arundel County Animal Control in Annapolis, according to Associated Press.

Staff there found the dog's microchip and found the dog's family, but they had moved to North Carolina.

Dodger, a collie mix, escaped from his family home in Owings Mills, Md. in 2007. Despite an extensive search, the family could not find him. Last Friday, Dodger's human, William Willey traveled with his family to Annapolis to pick up the pooch.

Other than minor abrasions on his face and a few lost teeth, Dodger was no worse for wear.
