A Muslim civil rights group is asking the FBI to investigate a series of threatening posts on a blog centered around anti-Islam content.

The Council for American-Islamic Relations made the request after a Northern Virginia Mosque became the focus of a recent post.

The blogger urges Christians to commit fatal acts of violence against Muslims and mentions a specific mosque in his commentary. The blog also depicts an image of a mosque in flames.

A spokesman for the council says the site is hateful. In addition to an FBI investigation, the group is asking for the blog's host provider, WordPress to remove the site.
