Fairfax Shelter Launches Holiday Animal Adoption Event

A program starting today in Fairfax County aims to find homes for all the animals in its shelter. 'Operation Empty Cage' is part of a two month long animal adoption program intended to entice potential pet owners to open their hearts and homes for stray cats and dogs in the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.

As part of the event, the shelter is offering to spay/neuter the first 100 dogs and cats adopted from the shelter through the end of the year.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 12 p.m. through 7 p.m. For more information, call the Fairfax County Animal Shelter at 703-830-1100.
