D.C.'s public schools will open on time this morning with the exception of School Without Walls in Ward 2. That school is expected to remain closed for the remainder of the week for while the building is repaired.

Four other schools require what D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray calls "minimal cosmetic repairs," but those repairs can be done while school is ongoing.

Charter schools had to be inspected as well, and William E. Doar public charter school for the performing arts building on North Capitol Street will be closed, but students will report to the Edgewood campus.
