Arrest Warrant To Be Issued For Suspect Involved In State Trooper Assault

Investigators suspect Howard may have been trying to provoke the officer into using deadly force.

The suspect is now at Fort Washington Hospital under police guard. He has been charged with assault, second-degree assault on an officer and trying to disarm an officer.

Upon discharge, officials are expected to execute an arrest warrant against him. The unidentified trooper was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital.
