Maryland Kicks Off Buy Local Challenge Week

In the 100-degree heat, 17 teams of chefs prepared tasty treats using locally grown, harvested foods.

The cook-off marked the start of Maryland’s Buy Local Challenge Week when state residents are asked to include at least one Maryland food in one of their daily meals.

This event is meant to showcase many great tasting and healthy recipes that use local ingredients.
