Rory McIlroy holds a commanding lead as he enters the final round.

On Friday, McIlroy became the first player ever to reach 13 under par at any point during the 111-year history of the U.S. Open. He reached that number again Saturday, and exceeded it when he finished at 14 under, good enough for an 8-shot lead.

South Korean Y.E. Yang is in second place. He was McIlroy's playing partner Saturday, and he will be again today.

The record for biggest margin of victory at a U.S. Open is fifteen shots, set by Tiger Woods in 2000.
