


Metro's been talking about making a change since 2009, and is now evaluating seven different systems to upgrade the payment system.
The system would be similar to what's currently used on the tube system in London, which is called a "contactless system."
Metro officials have said that the existing SmarTrip system is outdated, and they plan to hear more on the possible alternatives later this month.
People getting ready to ride Metro at White Flint station this morning said they like the idea, especially if it moves things along faster.
