Fairfax School Board To Vote On Teacher Pay Raises

Play associated audio

The board is expected to approve the first district-wide pay raise since 2008.

Board members committed to a pay raise in late winter, but didn't get the increase in funding from county supervisors that they requested.

Still, the board says it is likely to approve a 1 percent cost of living increase across the board, along with step increases for eligible employees.

The final budget vote will also determine whether the district will implement full-day kindergarten in every elementary school this fall.
