Tornadoes Confirmed In Western Maryland

No injuries were reported, and as tornadoes go, the damage was relatively minor.

Still, the weather service says it was an EF0 tornado, with maximum wind speeds of 75 mph that touched down Wednesday night near Wolfsville in Frederick County, damaging some playground equipment in a backyard.

Meanwhile, a separate EF1 tornado, with maximum wind speeds of 90 to 100 mph, struck near the Washington County town of Maugansville, just north of Hagerstown.

That storm reportedly blew a camper trailer onto its side and moved it 45 feet into a neighboring yard.
