A Navy SEAL team stormed bin Laden's walled compound in Pakistan earlier this month, and since then Warner has collected more than 1,200 messages on his Senate website. In an online video, he says he's been looking forward to sharing them to Navy SEAL commanders.
"Incredible messages of gratitude from other active duty military, from veterans, from young people, old people, all across the country,” says Warner.
The meeting is private and identities of the SEALs who took part in the raid likely won't ever be disclosed due to the sensitive nature of the team's work.
Given that, Warner says he's glad to help people say thank you.
