The Maryland Jockey Club announced the release of free mobile applications for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones.

The applications provide instant, real-time access to the latest Preakness Stakes updates, including news releases, historical data, blogs and wagering information. Users will also be able to get details on daily races during Pimlico Race Course's spring meeting, as well as results and video replays.

The iPhone application is already available and Android and BlackBerry versions will be available later this week.

The Preakness, the middle jewel of the Triple Crown, is May 21.
