(April 29-May 7) ARTSREAM'S GLAD MEN Silver Spring's ArtStream works to provide art opportunities to underserved communities. They helped teens and adults with intellectual disabilities put together "Glad Men". The production is like "Mad Men" in that it takes place at a New York City ad agency in the early '60s, but it's different in that it promises to be really, really silly. It's staged this and next weekend at Silver Spring’s Round House Theatre.

(April 30) ART ATTACK, BUT NO CARNAGE Art Carnage is a lot less painful than it sounds. Vienna's Soundry hosts a night of live painting, music, comedy and belly dancing Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight.

(April 29-May 22) A LONG SWORD AND A BIG NOSE An expert swordsman with a terribly big nose spends the next three weeks at the Folger Theatre in Southeast Washington. Edmond Rostand's Cyrano secretly adores Roxane from afar in the classic play.

(April 30) A POSITIVE PLACE Northwest Washington's bygone Wilson Center provided a venue for the city's legendary punk scene to flourish for more than 20 years in Columbia Heights. The building is now Capital City Public Charter School and Positive Force DC sets up shop there Saturday to commemorate Wilson's history with photos, videos, speakers and plenty of music.
